Baumerlenbach is a village in Hohenlohe , which has been a district of Öhringen ( Baden-Württemberg ) since 1973 .

geography

Tree Erlenbach is on the Hohenlohe plain about half a kilometer south of the cooker tals and about one and a half kilometers west of the valley of the lower Unterohrn on Erlenbach , who less than a kilometer north-west run, beneath the village through a forest sword , flows from the left in the cooker. The village itself is at heights between about 230 and 260  m above sea level. NN in the flat upper valley basin of the stream and on its right slope. In the direction of the stream it runs through a district road from the L 1080 in the southeast, which then descends through the blade incision to the river and to Möglingen on its right bank (K 2333). In the center of the village, coming from the south-west of the same state road, you come across another county road (K 2334), which passes a glider airfield shortly after crossing the municipality marker. On the southern border there are two separate farms with the names Zuckmantel and Lindich. Shell limestone used to be broken on the left slope of the Bachklinge , today the old quarry serves as a landfill.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document as Alirinbach in 788 in a document from the Lorsch Monastery on the occasion of a donation. Another donation in Erlinbach to the Lorsch monastery was made in 860. The Öhringen foundation letter of 1037 lists the parish and nine hubs in the village as part of the foundations of the Regensburg Bishop Gebhard to the Öhringen monastery . The rest of the property on the site was later given to the Lords of Berlichingen and the Lords of Neudeck as a fief of the Regensburg bishopric . Through sales of the Neudecker and Tumyng , seven twelfths of the town came to Hohenlohe , while five twelfth remained in the possession of the Inner House of the Lords of Berlichingen. Hochgericht, escort and customs were completely with Hohenlohe. During the division of Hohenlohe in 1553, the property in Baumerlenbach came to the Hohenlohe-Neuenstein line and to the Beutingen office (later: Michelbach office).

The place name changed in the 14th century to differentiate it from places of the same name from Erlebach to Beumen Erlbach (1341) and at the latest in 1449 to Baumerlenbach .

In the course of the reorganization of the German southwest in the early 19th century, the Berliching district came to Württemberg in 1803, the Hohenlohe district in 1806 , whereupon the place became an independent municipality within the Oberamt Öhringen .

On December 31, 1972 Baumerlenbach was incorporated into Öhringen.

It was mentioned as early as 887 and in 1037 was part of the equipment of the Öhringen monastery, which had the right of patronage for several centuries before it came to the Hohenlohe family in the course of the Reformation in the 16th century. The church was given its present form through reconstruction in 1732. Inside, the church has significant historical fittings.
  • Various historical agricultural properties have also been preserved on site.
