The first four locomotives designated as B IX of the Royal Bavarian State Railroad were bought by the Strousberg locomotive factory . They were sold to the Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine in 1873 , where they were initially classified as class B 4, and from 1906 as class P 1 . They were with a Tender equipped to type 3 T 10th
