These six locomotives of this type are direct forerunners of the first double-coupled Bavarian express locomotives of the class B IX . They were equipped with an internal control of the Stephenson type, internal valve boxes, a crank handle and an external filling frame. The fire box was supported for better load distribution . They were equipped with bay 3 T 9 tenders.
