The locomotives of the B V series were vehicles of the Bavarian Eastern Railway .

Shortly after the Royal Bavarian State Railways , the Ostbahn also procured B-coupled tender locomotives. The vehicles were initially classified as type E, later for some time as type B VII. They had an outer frame with external control and a Belpaire type boiler . One locomotive was still available in 1904 and was retired shortly afterwards. The locomotives had a Schlepptender equipped to type 2 T 8, there were the only two-axis Schlepptender the Ostbahnstrasse.
