The steam locomotives of the Bavarian class C III were triple-coupled freight locomotives of the Royal Bavarian State Railways .

Normal design

They were developed from the C II . A total of 239 copies were made, which varied in size from one another. For example, the third series had a bowl 30 millimeters more in diameter. The vehicles taken over by the Reichsbahn were to be given the numbers 53 7871-7990. However, these locomotives were retired by 1925. Some machines went to Belgium as reparations . The vehicles were equipped with bay 3 T 8.95 and 3 T 10.5 tenders .

These locomotives, which were originally manufactured for Hungary, were acquired by the Sigl company, as they urgently needed new locomotives for freight transport. After the boiler was later replaced, they were identical to the other vehicles of this type except for the main mass. The locomotives taken over from the Reichsbahn were to be given the numbers 53 7831-7833, but were retired by 1925. The vehicles were with a bay 3 T &; 12 equipped.
