Beatrix Haustein
Beatrix Haustein (born December 18, 1974 in Karl-Marx-Stadt , † March 22, 2002 in Stuttgart ) was a German writer .
Life
Beatrix Haustein grew up in Karl-Marx-Stadt. In her childhood / adolescence, she suffered from longstanding sexual abuse and mistreatment. Hausein revealed her incest experience after the fall of the Wall and broke away from her parents; In 1991 the father was charged and sentenced. Beatrix Haustein processed her experiences in literary form, especially in poetry , but withdrew from the public after the publication of her sensational first volume of poetry. She completed her studies at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig , which she graduated with a diploma in 1998, and has worked as a freelance writer since 1999. She died in March 2002 in a Stuttgart hospital.
Beatrix Haustein's work includes prose texts , poems and plays for the theater. Her volume of poems, Schwanenlied, and the novel Milch remained unfinished due to Haustein's early death. All copyrights are now with Andora Peggy Haustein.
Beatrix Haustein was a member of the support group Free Literature Society in Leipzig. In 1995 she received the Zwickau Literature Prize, in 1998 and 2000 a working grant from the Saxon Ministry of Science and Art, in 1999 a grant from the artists' village Schöppingen , in 2000 the city clerk's office in the Tyrolean city of Schwaz and in 2001 a residency grant from the Stuttgart Academy Schloss Solitude .
