Bellegarde ( Occitan : Bèlagarda ) was a French commune with last 441 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Bellegarde belonged to the arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Le Haut Dadou (until 2015: canton of Villefranche-d'Albigeois ). Bellegarde is a district of the municipality of Bellegarde-Marsal .

On January 1, 2016, the municipality of Bellegarde merged with Marsal to form the new municipality of Bellegarde-Marsal.

Bellegarde is about eight kilometers east-southeast of Albi .

The municipality of Bellegarde was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Marsal in the north, Villefranche-d'Albigeois in the east, Mouzieys-Teulet in the south, Fréjairolles in the southwest and Cambon in the west.
