Benjamín Castillo Plascencia (born September 9, 1945 in Ixtlahuacán del Río ) is Bishop of Celaya .

Life

Benjamin Castillo Plascencia was ordained a priest on April 14, 1974 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Sufasar and auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara on November 18, 1999 . The Archbishop of Guadalajara, Juan Cardinal Sandoval Íñiguez , donated him episcopal ordination on January 8 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Justo Mullor García , Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , and Javier Navarro Rodríguez , Bishop of San Juan de los Lagos .

On February 8, 2003, he was appointed Bishop of Tabasco . He was appointed bishop of Celaya on April 29, 2010, and was instituted on June 24 of the same year.
