Florencio Olvera Ochoa

Florencio Olvera Ochoa (born October 12, 1933 in Tequisquiapan ) is the former bishop of Cuernavaca .

Life

Ricardo Guízar Díaz was ordained a priest for the diocese of Querétaro on October 26, 1958 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tabasco on October 19, 1992 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , Girolamo Prigione , donated him episcopal ordination on November 30th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Rafael García González , Bishop of León , and Mario de Gasperín Gasperín , Bishop of Querétaro.

On February 22, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Cuernavaca. On July 10, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
