Rafael García González

Rafael García González ( May 10, 1926 - November 8, 1994 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of León .

Life

Rafael García González received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Guadalajara on April 2, 1949 .

On July 10, 1972, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Urbs Salvia and auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara. The Archbishop of Guadalajara, José Salazar López , donated him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of San Juan de los Lagos , Archbishop Francisco Javier Nuño y Guerrero and the Bishop of Ciudad Obregón , Miguel González Ibarra .

On May 30, 1974, he was appointed Bishop of Tabasco .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of León on January 4, 1992 .
