Miguel González Ibarra

Miguel González Ibarra (born September 29, 1918 in Tlaquepaque , Jalisco , Mexico , † August 11, 1991 in Guadalajara ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ciudad Obregón .

Life

Miguel González Ibarra received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Guadalajara on March 31, 1945 .

On March 20, 1961, Pope John XXIII appointed him . first bishop of the newly established diocese of Autlán . The Archbishop of Guadalajara, José Cardinal Garibi y Rivera , donated him episcopal ordination on May 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the coadjutor archbishop of Guadalajara, Francisco Javier Nuño y Guerrero , and the bishop of Colima , Ignacio de Alba y Hernández .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 15, 1967 Bishop of Ciudad Obregón . On November 14, 1981, Pope John Paul II accepted his early resignation.
