Benjamin Goller (born January 1, 1999 in Reutlingen ) is a German football player . The winger has been under contract with Werder Bremen since the 2019/20 season and is a young German national player.

Career

In the club

Goller started playing football at TSV Holzelfingen before moving to the youth team at VfL Pfullingen (2011 to 2014) and joining the team at Stuttgarter Kickers . There he played in the B-Junior Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season . For the 2016/17 season , Goller moved to the A-Youth of FC Schalke 04 , with whom he played in the A-Junior Bundesliga . In the 2017/18 season , in which he was last eligible to play in the youth, the winger and his team won the western season. In the final of the German championship, he and his team had to admit defeat to Hertha BSC . Then Goller moved up to the men's area.

Goller completed the preparation for the 2018/19 season with Domenico Tedesco's professional team . Among other things, he took part in a marketing trip to China and was used in the friendly matches against FC Southampton and Hebei China Fortune . After the preparation, Goller was firmly integrated into the professional squad by Tedesco. On December 11, 2018, he made his debut in the first team when he was in the starting XI in the 1-0 win against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League .

For the 2019/20 season, Goller moved to Werder Bremen . He completed the preparation with Florian Kohfeldt's professional team . Because of a torn muscle fiber, he initially fell out. After missing 10 players due to injuries, Goller was in the Bundesliga team on September 14, 2019 for the game at Union Berlin , in which he was substituted in in the final phase and thus made his Bundesliga debut.

In the national team

Goller played three times for the German U18 national team between November 2016 and March 2017 . From August 2017 to March 2018, he made five appearances in the U19 team , in which he scored one goal. Goller has been active in the U20 selection since September 2018 .
