Benjamin Ndiaye

Benjamin Ndiaye (born October 28, 1948 in Fadiouth ) is a Senegalese clergyman and archbishop of Dakar .

Life

Benjamin Ndiaye was ordained a priest on August 21, 1977 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Kaolack on June 15, 2001 .

The Archbishop of Dakar , Théodore-Adrien Sarr , donated him episcopal ordination on November 24th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Pierre Sagna CSSp , Bishop of Saint-Louis du Sénégal , and Jacques Yandé Sarr , Bishop of Thiès .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Dakar on December 22, 2014. The inauguration took place on February 21, 2015.
