Benjamin Whittaker (* 6. June 1997 in West Bromwich , England ) is a British boxer in light heavyweight .
successes
The 1.91 m tall left-wing arm was the English junior middleweight champion in 2015 and won the silver medal in the middleweight division at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa , when he only lost 2-1 to John Docherty in the final .
In 2016 and 2017 he was the English middleweight champion and started at the European Championships 2017 in Ukraine , where he was eliminated by Oleksandr Chysnjak . He was also subject to this in the quarter-finals at the 2017 World Championships in Germany , after defeating John Kyalo and Vikas Krishan .
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia , he was eliminated again in the quarterfinals against John Docherty. For this he won the gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2018 EU Championships in Spain . He is also the winner of the Ahmet Cömert Tournament 2018 in Turkey .
In 2019 he won a silver medal at the European Games in Minsk and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Yekaterinburg .
