Bernd Bohmeier
Bernd Bohmeier (born September 26, 1943 in Bad Oeynhausen ) is a German writer and painter .
Life
Bernd Bohmeier attended schools in Koblenz , Mainz and Sankt Goarshausen , where he passed his school leaving examination in 1964 . Then studied it theater studies and philosophy at the universities in Mainz and Cologne ; he completed this course in 1969 with a master's degree . Bohmeier has been publishing literary works since 1966, and has exhibited his own paintings since 1969 . Bohmeier made extensive trips to Africa , Asia , the USA , Australia and Oceania . From 1968 to 1998 he also worked as a freelance editor for the television drama department of West German Broadcasting . Today he lives in Cologne and since 1973 also in Üdersdorf-Trittscheid ( Vulkaneifel district ).
Bernd Bohmeier's literary work consists mainly of narrative prose and poetry .
Bernd Bohmeier is a member of the Association of German Writers and the Cologne Literary Society . He received u. a. 1975 the August-Macke-Förderpreis des Kulturringes for the Kurköln Sauerland , 1991 a work grant from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Family and Women of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and in 1995 a work grant from the Ministry of Culture of North Rhine-Westphalia .
