Bernd Oertwig (born September 5, 1949 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Bernd Oertwig grew up in Berlin. He completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter at the Berlin printing company Büxenstein . Afterwards Oertwig went for a newspaper internship for two years for " Harzburger newspaper " to Bad Harzburg . He then headed the local editorial office of the " Leine-Deister-Zeitung " in Gronau / Leine before returning to Berlin. At the BZ he was initially a sports editor, later deputy local manager, head of politics and news chief.

He started a part-time study in the pilot project "Journalist Training" at the Free University of Berlin under Prof. Alexander von Hoffmann and graduated with a lic.rer.publ. from. From the mid-80s he worked as a freelance journalist for various magazines and newspapers at home and abroad, lived next to Berlin in Vienna , Hamburg and Cologne , where he managed the press office of the amusement park “ Phantasialand ”.
