Bernd Patzke (born March 14, 1943 in Berlin ) is a former German football player .
Career
The German youth and amateur selection player celebrated his first football successes in his hometown with Minerva 93 Berlin . In 1962 Patzke switched to Standard Liège as a professional in Belgium . After winning the Belgian championship, coach Max Merkel brought him to TSV 1860 Munich in 1964 . Between 1964 and 1972 he played 202 games in the Bundesliga for 1860 Munich and Hertha BSC as a defender and scored six goals. With the "sixties" he became German champion in 1966 .
Patzke came to 24 appearances in the national team . He was at the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England with the team runner-up , finishing at the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico with the team to third place .
On July 30, 1966, the Federal President awarded him the Silver Laurel Leaf.
In 1971 Patzke was one of the main participants in the so-called Bundesliga scandal and was initially banned for 10 years. Since the South African association had been excluded from FIFA because of apartheid , the ban did not apply there. Patzke therefore went to Durban City in 1972 with the Herthaners Wolfgang Gayer , Peter Enders and Hans-Jürgen Sperlich , with whom he became the South African champion. He then moved to Hellenic FC in Cape Town , where he met his former Berlin teammates Jürgen Weber , Arno Steffenhagen , Volkmar Groß and Wolfgang Gayer.
On November 26, 1973 he was pardoned and returned to the "lions", for which he came to 11 missions in the Regionalliga Süd. From 1975 he worked as a trainer for ESV Ingolstadt-Ringsee and the southern second division club FK Pirmasens . In September 1983 Patzke returned as a coach to TSV 1860 and reached the championship in the Bayern League . However, the "lions" failed in the promotion round to the 2nd division. In 1984 he was dismissed as a coach during the current season.
In 1990 Patzke was the national coach of Oman .
Bernd Patzke has been a player's agent since 1996.
