Bernd Raupach (born June 9, 1962 ) is a German cross-country skier and trainer.

Life

Raupach became a member of the Hochvogel Munich ski club through his father after he was born . He first took part in competitions at the age of six.

In his competitive sports career, he made it into course group I of the German Ski Association (DSV). At the German Nordic Ski Championships in 1979 he won the bronze medal in the relay competition for SC Hochvogel together with Kurt Dotzler , Stefan Dotzler and Wolfgang Müller . Together with Stefan Dotzler, Wolfgang Müller and Herbert Bauer, he won the gold medal for his club for the first time at the Bavarian relay championship in 1985. At the German championship in 1986 Raupach won the bronze medal in the 50 km cross-country skiing and at the German championship in 1988 over the 50 km distance.

In addition, he won the gold medal at the German championship in 1988 in the relay team with Walter Pichler , Franz Danner and Stefan Dotzler, as well as at the German championship in 1990 together with Stefan Dotzler, Walter Pichler and Georg Fischer . He was also a member of the SC Hochvogel teams, which won the 4 × 10 km relay competitions of the clubs in a hat trick at the German championships from 1987 to 1989 - in 1987 and 1988 together with Christian Maiwald , Wolfgang Müller and Stefan Dotzler, in 1989 with Andreas Pouf instead of Müller.

Through competitive sport, Raupach came to the Federal Border Police (BGS) sports school in Bad Endorf to train as a federal police officer and ran from 1993 to 2001 in the BGS cross-country team. In 1995 he completed the trainer training he began in 1987 as a certified trainer / diploma trainer of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

From 2001 to 2006 he was coach of the DSV federal support point Ruhpolding and following along with Franz Gattermann head coach of the Austrian Ski Federation - National selection in cross-country skiing. Raupach has been the head coach in Ruhpolding since 2011. He is also the first chairman of his home club.
