Bernd Cornelius Simon (born August 24, 1946 in Hamburg ; † November 27, 2017 in Munich ) was a German music producer , singer and voice actor .

biography

The son of the pop singer Hans-Arno Simon initially worked as a music producer z. B. with Agnetha and Danyel Gérard (production of the German version of Gérard's hit Butterfly ), before he himself appeared as a pop singer in 1973 under the pseudonym Simon Butterfly ( Rain Rain Rain ). In later years he produced a. a. Songs by Kristina Bach , Eberhard Hertel and Stefan Mross .

From 1985 Simon also worked as a voice actor. His distinctive, slightly brittle voice predestined him as a spokesman for cartoon characters. His best-known dubbing role is that of " Moe Szyslak ", the bartender from the series The Simpsons , whom he lent his voice from 1991 for over 27 years. He also spoke " Lenny Leonard " in season 1 of the series. His other cartoon roles include the mouse "Winslow" in CatDog and the "duck" in the film Till Eulenspiegel . He also spoke in the two Transformers series The Transformers and Transformers: Generation 2 and in the 1984 film Transformers - The Battle for Cybertron, the Decepticon Starscream. In the series For All Cases Amy , he spoke the actor Gregory Harrison in four episodes .
