Bernhard Krastl

Bernhard Krastl (born August 24, 1950 in Zăbrani ( German  Guttenbrunn ), People's Republic of Romania ) is a German teacher and was from 2002 to 2011 federal board member of the Banat Swabian Landsmannschaft from 2002 to 2011.

Life

Krastl attended the Lyceum in Lipova and began studying physics at the Timișoara Polytechnic University . In 1971, Krastl and his family moved from Romania to Saarland , where he completed a teaching degree in physics at Saarland University . He also trained in automotive engineering . He then worked as a teacher at the vocational training center in Sankt Ingbert and at the state master school in Saarbrücken . Most recently he was head of the technical and commercial department at the Sankt Ingbert vocational training center.

In 1985 Bernhard Krastl took over the position of chairman of the Guttenbrunn hometown community . In 1987 he was elected by the Saar Regional Association of the Banat Swabian Landsmannschaft as chairman. From 2002 to 2011, Krastl was the national board member of the Banat Swabian country team . His successor was Peter-Dietmar Leber , after which Krastl became honorary chairman of the association. At the general assembly of the World Umbrella Federation of Danube Swabians in Cleveland , Krastl was also elected President of the organization for four years.

Bernhard Krastl is married to Veronika, née Schmidt from Giarmata . Their connection has a son, the Catholic priest Markus Krastl.
