Bernhard Sieland

Bernhard Sieland (* 1945 ) is a German professor emeritus and educational psychologist.

Life

After graduating from high school , Bernhard Sieland studied from 1965 to 1968 for teaching at elementary schools and passed the first state examination in 1968 . Immediately thereafter, he studied psychology from 1968 to 1975 , graduating with a diploma and becoming a Dr. phil. PhD . From 1975 to 1992 he was an academic advisor and completed his habilitation. After a time as a private lecturer at the TU Braunschweig , he became professor of psychology at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Lüneburg in 1993 . He is also a licensed behavioral therapist . Bernhard Sieland is married and has four children.

Services

Sieland's work focuses on the training and further education of pedagogues , school psychologists , executives, psychotherapists ( behavioral therapy ) and supervisors as well as personnel and organizational development in non-profit organizations . His main research interests include aptitude diagnostics and potential analyzes, diagnosis-based development advice and resistance to change of people and organizations, virtual and real professional learning communities, health promotion for people in organizations and the stabilization of learning success under everyday conditions.

Specifically, Sieland is working on the " Career Counseling for Teachers " (CCT) project for Germany . This project is a career counseling for teachers as well as teacher training students, with the help of which the suitability is to be determined more precisely as well as help for the specific activity as a teacher. Many local centers for teacher training are now also working with the CCT materials that Sieland helped to develop.
