Until 2015, the Kelheim was in use as a day excursion ship for Personenschiffahrt Stadler GmbH and was used in excursion traffic on the Danube and Main-Danube Canal . It was used to drive the Danube route between Kelheim and Weltenburg Abbey , the Danube Gorge , and in the Altmühl valley, the route from Kelheim to Riedenburg approved for up to 540 passengers. In 2015 the ship was sold to the Mosel Personenschifffahrt and sails there as Bernkastel on the Moselle .

Predecessor and successor to Kelheim 1979

The 1979 Kelheim was the second ship of the Personenschiffahrt Stadler GmbH with this name. Its predecessor was the Kelheim , built in 1958 by the shipyard Christof Ruthof in Regensburg , which was sold to Bodman on Lake Constance in 1979 and is now operating there as Raiffeisen . The new building Kelheim (2015) of the Lux-Werft with the hull number 208 is the third ship of the operator with this name.
