Tepličky (until 1948 Slovak "Fornosek"; Hungarian Fornószeg ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 297 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Hlohovec of, part kraj Trnavský heard.
geography
The municipality is located in the western part of the Nitrianska pahorkatina hill country (part of the Danube hill country ) on the slope of the southern foothills of the Považský Inovec mountains , in the source area of the Galanovka brook . The center of the village is at an altitude of 215 m nm and is seven and a half kilometers from Hlohovec .
Neighboring municipalities are Jalšové in the north, Horné Trhovište in the northeast and east, Dolné Trhovište in the southeast, Hlohovec in the southwest and west and Koplotovce in the northwest.
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1113 as Tavvicz and got its name after local hot springs. The next mention comes from 1406, under the name Forrozeg . The village developed in the municipality of Koplotovce and was an agricultural and especially wine-growing village. It was owned by several families of lower nobility. At the end of the 19th century, the large Jewish landowner Simon Schwitzer, who lived in the village until 1937, acquired the estate, whose main sources of income at that time came from gravel and sand mining and burning.
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
From 1979 to 1990 Tepličky was part of the Horné Otrokovce municipality.
population
According to the 2011 census, 286 people lived in Tepličky, of which 277 were Slovaks, as well as one Moravian and one Pole. Seven residents did not provide any information about their ethnicity. 242 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church and three residents each for the Evangelical Church AB and the Greek Catholic Church. 26 residents had no denomination and the denomination of 12 residents was not determined.
