Koplotovce (Hungarian Kaplat ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 769 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Hlohovec of, part kraj Trnavský heard.
geography
The village is located on the western slope of the Považský Inovec Mountains , on a small plain on the left bank of the Váh . The center of the village is at an altitude of 165 m nm and is five and a half kilometers from Hlohovec .
Neighboring municipalities are Drahovce in the north, Jalšové in the northeast, Tepličky in the east, Hlohovec in the south and Madunice in the west.

Koplotovce was first mentioned in writing as Locuplot in 1113 and was then divided between the Freistadl Castle (today Hlohovec) and the Benedictine monastery on the Zobor. In 1330 the village became the property of local noblemen. The last large estate owners came from the Frideczky family . The main sources of income were agriculture and viticulture, in the 19th century gravel and stone mining was carried out.
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 682 inhabitants in Koplotovce, including 672 Slovaks, two Czechs and one Magyar, one Polish, one Russian and one Serbian. Four residents did not give any information about their ethnicity. 549 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church, 12 residents supported the Evangelical Church AB, four residents supported the Jehovah's Witnesses and three residents supported the Greek Catholic Church; four residents professed a different denomination. 73 inhabitants were without a denomination and the denomination of 37 inhabitants was not determined.
