Dolné Otrokovce (German Unterotrokowitz , Hungarian Alsóatrak ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 390 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Hlohovec of, part kraj Trnavský heard.
geography
The municipality is located in the western part of the Nitrianska pahorkatina (part of the Danube Hills ) on the Stoličný creek , not far from the Považský Inovec Mountains . The center of the village is at an altitude of 180 m nm and is 14 kilometers from Hlohovec .
Neighboring municipalities are Tekolďany in the north, Merašice in the east, Dolné Trhovište in the south, Horné Trhovište in the west and Horné Otrokovce in the northwest.
history
Dolné Otrokovce developed from the original place Otrokovce and was first mentioned in writing in 1249 as Also Atrak .
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
population
According to the 2011 census, Dolné Otrokovce had 364 residents, including 331 Slovaks and three Magyars. One resident indicated a different denomination and 29 residents gave no information about ethnicity. 298 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church and seven residents supported the Evangelical Church AB. 17 residents were non-denominational and 42 residents had no denomination.
