Sasinkovo (until 1948 Slovak "sag", Hungarian Ság ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 854 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Hlohovec , part of kraj Trnavský belongs.
geography
The municipality is located in the Nitrianska pahorkatina hill country (part of the Slovak Danube lowlands ). The center of the village is at an altitude of 196 m nm and is ten kilometers from Hlohovec .
Neighboring municipalities are Kľačany in the north, Rumanová in the southeast, Zemianske Sady and Šalgočka in the south, Dvorníky and Bojničky in the west and Hlohovec in the northwest.
history
Sasinkovo was first mentioned in writing as Sag in 1256 and was then a settlement of royal fishermen. In 1412 the village belonged to the estate of Freistadt, then different sexes, such as B. Sándor , Keglevich and Appel . In 1787 the village had 137 houses and 670 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 77 houses and 539 inhabitants who lived from agriculture and viticulture.
Until 1918, the place in Neutra County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, 880 inhabitants lived in Sasinkovo, of whom 840 were Slovaks, two Magyars and two Czechs and one Pole; one resident indicated a different ethnic group . 34 residents gave no information in this regard. 494 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church, 249 residents supported the Evangelical Church AB and two residents supported the Greek Catholic Church. 50 residents had no denomination and the denomination of 85 residents was not determined.
