Berthold Lülf (* 1959 in Altenberge ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been mayor of the Münsterland city ​​of Ennigerloh since 2002 .

Life

Berthold Lülf completed an apprenticeship in the public service and has since worked in local government, including in Altenberge, Münster , Nordwalde , Drensteinfurt and Unna . In Oerlinghausen he was first alderman and city ​​treasurer .

As a chess player , he played for the Königsspringer Nordwalde club in the 1980s and 1990s .

After Mayor Hans-Ulrich Brinkmann (SPD), who was the victim of advance fraud in office , was voted out of office prematurely in 2002, Berthold Lülf won the mayoral election in 2002 as an SPD candidate with 56.5 percent of the valid votes and a turnout of 80.8 percent . In the next mayoral election in 2009 there was no opposing candidate and Lülf as a joint candidate of the SPD, fwg and FDP was confirmed in office with 89.7 percent of the valid votes and a voter turnout of 56.3 percent. In the mayoral election in 2014, he also ran unopposed and was re-elected with 83.29 percent of the valid votes and a turnout of 52.3 percent.
