Berthold Rudolph Gall (born July 26, 1947 in Flörsheim am Main ) is a Hessian local politician ( CDU ).

Life

Gall grew up in his birthplace Flörsheim am Main. His father was the sexton of the local Catholic St. Gallus Church and ran a shop for fine knitwear and devotional items across from the church . After graduating from business school , Gall completed an apprenticeship as a commercial assistant . After completing his basic military service in the Bundeswehr, he worked as a commercial clerk and later as an assistant to the sales manager at Dyckerhoff cement works . While working, he obtained the advanced technical college certificate with the degree of a state-certified business economist . From 1975 to 1977 he was an advisor to the Mayor of Flörsheim, Josef Anna. From 1978 to 1986 Gall was full-time mayor of the community Sulzbach (Taunus) , from 1986 to 1992 mayor of the city of Bad Soden am Taunus . From 1992 to 1999 he returned to the private sector as managing director of a subsidiary of today's DZ-Bank . On October 1, 1999 he became district administrator of the Main-Taunus district after receiving 64.7% of the vote in the direct election on August 29, 1999. The turnout was 30.6%. In 2005 he was confirmed in office for a further six years with 62.4% and a voter turnout of 34.2%. This office ended in September 2011.
