Besu Sado Beku (born January 12, 1996 ) is an Ethiopian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Besu Sado gained her first international experience at the 2014 African Championships in Marrakech , where she finished seventh in the 1,500 meter run in 4: 17.51 ​​minutes . The following year she qualified for the World Championships in Beijing , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 4: 17.17 minutes . Then she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Dawit Seyaum at the Africa Games in Brazzaville in 4: 18.86 minutes . In 2016, she reached the final at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished ninth in 4: 14.58 minutes.
