Beth A. Rubino

Beth A. Rubino (* 20th century ) is an American production designer who was nominated for an Oscar for best production design for her work on God's Work & Devil's Contribution ( 1999 ) and American Gangster ( 2007 ) .

biography

Beth Rubino works alongside her work for film and television to the public as an interior designer and living room - designer - compared its two areas of activity, she said:

“In a movie set, as opposed to a residence, you have to intrinsically build the entire lives of the characters, in a regular residence, you're creating the top layer of their environment; in a movie we do that but create subtext as well. "

"On a film set , opposite a private apartment, you essentially have to create the character's entire life - in a conventional accommodation you only design the upper layer of the environment [for the residents], we do that in the film too, but we also create subtext ."

She has been in the film business since 1987 and has been involved in more than 20 film and television series in various functions in the field of production design.
