Money Train is an American action film from 1995.
action
Two cops from the New York City Transit Police , John and Charlie, who work undercover on the New York subway , are assigned a new colleague, Grace Santiago, who messes up the lives of the adoptive brothers.
When Charlie is in a tight spot because of his gambling debts, John gives him his savings so that Charlie can settle his debts. The money is stolen in the subway. Charlie argues with his boss, Donald Patterson, who fires him. Shortly afterwards, John, who campaigns for his brother, is also released.
Charlie decides to rob a money train on the subway. John tries to prevent his brother from doing the crime, but only reaches him after he kidnapped the money train.
Patterson tries to stop the train. He accepts a collision of the money train with a non-diverted subway passenger train. John and Charlie jump on the passenger train just before the money train derails. Patterson has the wreckage searched. John and Charlie pretend they just got there when they heard about the train hijacking. Patterson reminds them that they are no longer cops and wants them arrested. The recently arrived Santiago arrested Patterson instead for endangering the lives of the passengers.
John and Charlie leave the subway station. It turns out that Charlie was hiding some money bags under his clothes.
Reviews
"An extremely simple action comedy that tries to compensate for a lack of comedy through excessive talking and moves all too unimaginatively in the conventional storylines of the genre."
"Lame jokes spoil this buddy movie whose finale starts too late."
