Richard Grove

Richard Grove (* 1955 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American actor , voice actor and machinima artist.

Life

Grove was born Ricky Grove in Phoenix in 1955. After graduating from school, he attended Arizona State University , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then attended the Yale School of Drama in the late 1970s, where he received his Masters. He then moved to New York City in the mid-1980s , where he mainly appeared in the theater. He later lived in Aspen, Colorado, where he worked for a long time at the Snowmass Repertory Theater. This was followed by a move to Los Angeles, where Grove was increasingly active in film and television. Probably his best-known role was in Sam Raimi's horror comedy Army of Darkness in 1992, opposite Bruce Campbell and Embeth Davidtz . From the mid-1990s, Grove worked in Santa Monica for a small theater.

Then he turned to the production of machinima . Among other things, Grove writes for the digital art website renderosity.com and runs the so-called Machinima Expo every year in Second Life . Grove maintains an archive for machinima videos at machiniplex.net.

He also works for the Iliad Bookshop in Los Angeles. He lives in Los Angeles with his partner, writer and screenwriter Lisa Morton .
