Bianca Elissa Sierra García (born June 25, 1992 in Livermore , California ) is a Mexican - American football player .
Career
society
Sierra played from 2010 to 2013 during her studies at Auburn University for the local college team of the Auburn Tigers . In January 2014 she took part in the college draft of the NWSL, but was initially not signed by any team. Instead, Sierra took part in a trial training session with the Washington Spirit and was signed by them shortly before the start of the season. She made her league debut on April 13, 2014 in the home game against the Western New York Flash . In June, Sierra moved to league rivals Boston Breakers in exchange for Lisa De Vanna . In the 2015 season, like all players from the Mexican Football Association, she did not play a game in the NWSL and left Boston at the end of the season.
For the 2016 season, Sierra moved to the Norwegian first division club Arna-Bjørnar .
National team
Sierra ran from 2009 to 2012 for the Mexican U-20 national team and took part in the U-20 World Cup in 2010 and 2012 , where she was used in the three group games and the lost quarter-finals. On May 8, 2010, she made her debut against Japan in the senior team of Mexico . But it was not taken into account for the 2011 World Cup. In 2014 she participated with Mexico in the four-nation tournament in China and in the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup . Sierra was used in two group games, the lost semi-final against the USA and in the won game for 3rd place, through which Mexico qualified third for the 2015 World Cup. She is also part of the Mexican squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
