Bibaj ( Albanian, more rarely Bibë , Serbian Биба Biba ) is a village in the southeast of Kosovo in the municipality of Ferizaj . The town of Ferizaj is three kilometers to the east .

The 2011 census found 1180 inhabitants for Bibaj, including 1164 (98.64%) Albanians . No data on ethnicity are available for 16 persons.

religion

In 2011, 1,095 of the 1180 inhabitants professed Islam , 51 people stated to be Roman Catholic , one person does not belong to any religious community, six inhabitants gave no answer regarding their beliefs and over 27 inhabitants could not find any data on the religion.

The M-25.3 (Joseph R. Beau Biden) , which connects Ferizaj with Gjilan , runs along Bibaj . Access to the Autostrada R 6 was opened on December 22, 2017. It leads north to the capital Pristina via Babush and Lipjan and since spring 2019 south to Han i Elezit to the border crossing with North Macedonia .
