The Biesme is a river in France that runs in the Grand Est region . It rises in the municipality of Beaulieu-en-Argonne , drains in the upper reaches in a westerly direction and is dammed there several times. Finally it turns to the north-west, crosses the Argonne Forest and follows the border between the departments of Meuse and Marne for a long stretch . In the lower reaches it curves over west to southwest and after a total of 28 kilometers it flows into the Aisne as a right tributary at Saint-Thomas-en-Argonne .
