The Bijlsma Confeeder 350 is a type of container feeder ship .

description

The type of ship was designed by Conoship International in Groningen for use as a container feeder ship, particularly in the Northern European market. Three units of this type of ship were built for the Dutch shipping company NedNor in Groningen. The ships on the built shipyard VEKA Shipyard Lemmer. The hulls were supplied by other shipyards.

The ships are from a four-stroke - six-cylinder - diesel engine the manufacturer Wärtsilä (type: 8R32) with 3280  kW power driven. The engine acts on a controllable pitch propeller . A shaft generator and two diesel generators are available for power generation. An emergency generator was also installed. The ships are equipped with a bow thruster with 500 kW power and a stern thruster with 300 kW power.

The ships have three holds . Cargo space 1 is provided with a one-piece hinged hatch cover closed, the other two having two open in both directions, each consisting of two panels, Faltlukendeckeln. Load space 2 is 24.86 m long, 13.20 m wide and 8.85 m high, load space 3 is 25.50 m long, 13.20 m wide and 8.85 m high. The tank top can be loaded with 12 t / m², the hatch cover with 2 t / m².

The container capacity of ships is 354  TEU . There is space for 124 TEU in the room and 230 TEU on deck. With homogeneous loading with 14 t containers, 228 containers can be transported. Only 20-foot containers can be loaded in bay 1, and 20 or 40-foot containers in the bays behind. Between hold 3 and the deckhouse , which is located at the very stern of the ships, further 20 or 40-foot containers can be loaded on deck. Up to four containers can be loaded in the rooms and up to five containers side by side on deck. The containers on deck can be loaded up to five layers. The ships are also suitable for transporting 45-foot containers. 50 connections are available for refrigerated containers. Behind the forecastle there is a breakwater to protect the deck cargo from overflowing water.
