Bilal Çubukçu (born May 16, 1987 in Berlin ) is a German - Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

Bilal Çubukçu grew up in Berlin-Kreuzberg . He made his first footballing steps with clubs from his district - Anadoluspor Berlin and Rot-Weiß Neukölln . Then he joined Tennis Borussia Berlin before joining Hertha BSC's junior team in 2002 . There he not only attracted attention off the pitch, but also impressed on it with performances that led to winning the B youth championship after a 4: 1 over VfB Stuttgart in his first season . The following year Çubukçu won the DFB Junior Club Cup with Hertha's A-youth with a 5-0 final against SGV Freiberg .

Career in the men's sector

For the second team from Hertha BSC Çubukçu made his debut in the Regionalliga season 2005/06 , where he brought it to a total of five missions. In the following season it was used there 22 times. However, Hertha's second agency rose at the end of the season. In 2007/08 Çubukçu then helped his club to the championship with twelve goals and eleven assists, which made him recommended for the professional team. There he was allowed to train at first, but was not taken to the training camp by coach Lucien Favre , whereupon he left the club for Turkey and there signed a contract with Gençlerbirliği Ankara . After things went well there at the beginning, he was no longer used often after a coach change, whereupon he terminated his contract in Ankara .

At the beginning of the second half of the 2010/11 season , Çubukçu moved back to Germany for the second division Alemannia Aachen for a year and a half .

After his contract expired, he left the club. For the next season he reached an agreement with the Turkish second division club Adana Demirspor . For the winter transfer period 2012 he left Adana Demirspor after a contract termination. For the second half of the 2012/13 season, he hired the Turkish third division club Tokatspor . In the summer of 2016 Cubukcu wanted to leave SV Babelsberg after two years and join the Turkish third division club Bucuspor, but due to the politically insecure situation, he changed his mind and extended his contract in Babelsberg.

For the 2017/18 season Cubukcu moved to the regional league team BFC Dynamo , where he was also appointed captain. He stayed here for two seasons before returning to Hertha BSC in July 2019 to play for the second team.

National team career

Bilal Çubukçu went through from the Turkish U-17 selection to U-21 all the youth teams in his country, where he played a total of 28 games.

Others

His brother Birol also played soccer for his ex-club Tennis Borussia Berlin, in the fifth class NOFV-Oberliga Nord .
