The bilge de-oiler 10 is a bilge de-oiler from the Bilgenentölungsgesellschaft (BEG) in Duisburg . The ship has been in service from Regensburg on the Danube and the Main-Danube Canal to Passau and Bamberg since the beginning of 2018 and replaces the bilge de-oiler 1 .

construction

The hull was designed by the shipyard SC Santierul Naval Orsova SA in Romania for the Dutch shipyard RensenDriessen Shipbuilding , Zwijndrecht built and to expand the Danube , the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal, the Main and the Rhine to further expand the development shipyard Dolder man in Dordrecht spent . The hull is designed as a double hull, 39.70 m long, 7.33 m wide and has a maximum draft of 2.20 m. The six stainless steel cargo tanks have a total volume of 171 m³, the load capacity is 214 tons. The bilge water is cleaned using the latest technology. A hydraulic crane is installed on deck for loading oil drums and other heavy objects. The superstructures are made of light metal.

drive

Two 178 kW electric motors propel the ship via a five-bladed high-skew propeller with a diameter of 1250 mm. Two diesel generators from Caterpillar with 200 kW generate the electrical energy. Both machines run uphill in flowing water, one machine is enough for downhill or canal journeys. The system is installed in the foredeck so that the apartment in the aft is free from disturbing engine noises. For maneuvering, a Verhaar Omega bow thruster with control grate of type VBS600sr with 120 kW is installed in the bow . An encapsulated Hatz type 2L41c generator is on board for port operations.
