The diocese Araçatuba ( lat. Dioecesis Arassatubensis , port. Diocese de Araçatuba ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Araçatuba in the state of São Paulo .

history

The diocese of Araçatuba was established on March 23, 1994 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Progrediens usque from cession of the diocese of Lins and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Botucatu as a suffragan .
