history

Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Qui arcano on December 17, 1977 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Amravati and the Archdiocese of Hyderabad and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Nagpur as a suffragan .
