The Diocese of Butuan ( lat. : Dioecesis Butuanensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Butuan City .

history

The diocese of Butuan was on March 20, 1967 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Eodem officio from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Surigao and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro as a suffragan .

It includes the provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur .
