Cathedral of San Pedro y San Pablo in Coroico

The diocese Coroico was on November 7, 1958 by Pope John XXIII. with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo which was established as the territorial prelature of Coroico from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of La Paz . On July 28, 1983, the territorial prelature Coroico was raised to the diocese by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Conster . The diocese of Coroico is subordinate to the Archdiocese of La Paz as a suffragan .
