The Diocese of Ekiti ( Latin Dioecesis Ekitiensis , English Diocese of Ekiti ) is in Nigeria situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Ado Ekiti .

history

The diocese Ekiti was on July 30, 1972 by Pope Paul VI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Divinum mandatum from cession of territory by the Diocese of Ondo as the Diocese of Ado-Ekiti and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Lagos as a suffragan . On December 11, 1972, the Diocese of Ado-Ekiti was renamed the Diocese of Ekiti . The Diocese of Ekiti was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ibadan as a suffragan on March 26, 1994 .
