The diocese of Facatativá ( lat. : Dioecesis Facatativensis , span. : Diócesis de Facatativá ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Facatativá .

history

The diocese Facatativá was on March 16, 1962 by Pope John XXIII. established with the papal bull Summi pastoris from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Bogotá and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On March 29, 1984, the Diocese Facatativá gave parts of its territory to the establishment of the Diocese of La Dorada-Guaduas .
