The Diocese of Kabankalan ( lat. : Dioecesis Cabancalensis ) is on the island of Negros in the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Kabankalan . It covers the southern part of the Negros Occidental province .

history

Pope John Paul II founded the diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Certiores quidem facti on March 25, 1987. It emerged from the cession of territory by the Diocese of Bacolod and was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Jaro as a suffragan diocese.
