The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bacolod ( lat. : Dioecesis Bacolodensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Bacolod .

history

The diocese Bacolod was on July 15, 1932 by Pope Pius XI. Erected with the Apostolic Constitution Ad Christi from assignments of territory by the dioceses of Cebu and Jaro . On March 30, 1987, the diocese of Bacolod gave up parts of its territory to establish the dioceses of Kabankalan and San Carlos .

It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Jaro as a suffragan .

The bishopric of Bacolod includes the province of Negros Occidental .
