The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Carlos ( lat. : Dioecesis Sancti Caroli Borromeo ) is on the island of Negros in the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese , based in San Carlos City . It covers the eastern part of the Negros Occidental province .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Certiores quidem facti on March 25, 1987 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Bacolod and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Jaro as a suffragan diocese.
