The diocese of Lai ( Latin Dioecesis Laiensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Chad . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of N'Djamena as a suffragan .

The diocese of Lai was established on November 28, 1998 from areas of the dioceses of Doba and Moundou .
