The diocese Osório ( Latin Dioecesis Osoriena , Portuguese Diocese de Osório ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Osório in the State of Rio Grande do Sul .
history
The Diocese of Osório was established on November 10, 1999 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolicum supremi from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre and the Diocese of Caxias do Sul . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre as a suffragan .
