history

The diocese of Samoa-Pago Pago was established on September 10, 1982 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Studiose quidem from cedings of territory from the diocese of Samoa and Tokelau . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Samoa-Apia as a suffragan .
